Central Highland Discovery – Dak Lak, trekking (#805)

Day 1: Nha Trang/ Da Lat – drive to Dak Lak – Lak lake (D)

In the morning, be picked up from your hotel in Nha Trang/ or Dalat. Transfer directly to Lak Lake (210km)
Upon arriving, check-in Lak Lake resort, short relax after a long time on the car.
In the afternoon, enjoy your half day trip to explore the ethnic village around the Lak Lake, M’Nông hilltribe villages of Jun and Le. Elephant riding across the lake.
Enjoy the gong music dancing show with local wine drinking. Dinner & overnight at Lak Resort.
Note: Early check-in hotel is not included, standard check-in time is by 14:00

Day 2: Mystery of Lak lake (B, pic-nic lunch)

Breakfast at hotel & enjoy your trekking day.
Crossing the lake by dugout canoe from Lak Resort. Start trekking the local villages of M’Nong people such as: M’lieng, Nau, Tay … You will have chance to explore about their culture and custom.
Walking along Krong Ana river for sightseeings and getting up to the top of the mountain which is 350 metres above sea level (picnic lunch here). Continue trekking through the rice fields and the forest. Return by boat.
Drive to Buon Ma Thuot. Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 3: Waterfalls – Dray sap, Dray nur, Gia Long – Buon Ma Thuot (B, pic-nic lunch)

Breakfast at hotel & enjoy your trekking day.
Take the direction to Dak Nong district for visiting the waterfalls. Dray Sap is the star attraction, where a collection of rivers and streams cascade over the cliff. The main river is fairly massive, if a little brown, and the surrounding streams and backwaters aren’t so tempting for swimming.
Along the path, there’s a suspension bridge that leads over to the sister falls, Dray Nur, which are dwarfed in comparison. Continue your visit with Gia Long waterfall/ Dray Sap Thuong (Upper Dray Sap), 6km far aways from Dray Sap, the upper reaches of the system of three waterfalls: Gia Long, Dray Nur and Dray Sap in Serepok River (if time permits)
Note: all of these waterfalls are much less impressive in the dry season, the end of the rainy season is the best time to go for pretty pictures.
Back to the capital central & visit Ethnographic museum with such exhibits, objects, photos from local minorities. Drop off at your hotel. Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 4: Yok Don national Park – departure (B, pic-nic lunch)

Breakfast at your hotel. Drive to Yok Don national park (40km far away from capital).
Elephant riding and trekking in the national forest (about 3 hours). Picnic lunch at the cascade of Buddist). Boat along the Serepok river from Buddist.
Visit the ancient house of the Laotian, the bamboo suspension bridge.
Drive back to the city, transfer directly to Buon Me Thuot airport for your departure flight.

End of trip.
