Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

Depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau – an idyllic valley home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai. Arrive in Mai Chau around noon, check in your room and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, to explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Thia, Nhot, Pom Coong, Lac and Chieng Chau villages. You will be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Total walking time is around 2.5 – 3 hours on flat village paths. Take it all in: the spectacular scenery of Mai Chau and the relaxed rhythm of local life.
Back to Mai Chau Ecolodge for dinner. Enjoy a traditional dance show and taste Ruou Can, a local rice wine. Overnight at Mai Chau Ecolodge

Day 2: Mai Chau (B, L, D)

Enjoy breakfast then transfer by car to Hang Kia (45 minutes), passing villages of Muong and Dzao tribal groups. Stop on the way to visit Pa Co and Xa Linh communes, home to H’mong people with their interesting ethnic market (every Sunday morning in Xa Linh). Arrive in Hang Kia, a typical H’mong village, peacefully nestled in a small valley at 1200m altitude. Have lunch at a local house then walk to discover the community. Transfer back to Mai Chau Ecolodge around 14.pm.
Optional: Cooking class (surcharge)
Take part in a cooking class to make Thai traditional dishes such as five color rice or bamboo grilled fish.

Day 3: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel and then cycle to explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Tang, Cha Long, Tòng Đậu, Van villages. Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Total cycling time is around 2 – 3 hours on flat village paths.
Back to Mai Chau Ecolodge for relaxing
Check out around 12.pm
Have lunch and transfer back to Hanoi. End of the tour.

Code #907b – Biking and Hiking 3 days 2 nights – Private tour

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

Depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau – an idyllic valley home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai. Stop en – route to have a soft break and photograph.
Arrive in Mai Chau around noon, enjoy lunch. Check in your room at 14.00 pm. Spend your afternoon to cycle to authentic villages as Tong Dau, Na Tang, Cha Long where rarely visited by tourists. Back to Mai Chau Ecolodge around 17:00 to 17:30
Dinner will be served by 19:30. After dinner, enjoy traditional dance show with local wine “Rượu Cần”.

Day 2: Mai Chau (B, L, D)

After breakfast at Mai Chau Ecolodge, you will be picked up and transferred to Mai Ha village.
Your hike starts at 09:00 with a walk through Kha local village and along the dirt trail through forest with tropical trees which covers Pu Poc sacred mountain of Thai ethnic minority in Mai Chau. The spectacular scenery gradually appears before you. You will reach Te – a small charming village is beside the forest and rarely visited by tourists. The local lunch will be served at local home stay.
After your lunch, the walk between the Thai ethnic minority villages Pu and Khoe follows the concrete trail. You can meet the local child at their house’s yard and enjoy peaceful scenery of mountain and paddy terraces.
From Khoe village, you will take a transfer to Mai Chau Ecolodge. Here you spend your own time to swim or enjoy the view of the valley and the surrounding mountain. Stay overnight at Mai Chau Ecolodge

Day 3: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

Spend the morning to relax at your pleasure in our natural haven. Check out around 12:00 and have lunch at Orchid Restaurant.
13:30 take a transfer back to Hanoi. Trip ends at 17:30
