Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau Valley (L,D)

7:30-8:00 : Pick you up at your Hotel in the Old Quarter in our comfortable van/bus

10:00 : Short break

11:30-12:00 : Scenic photo stop of Mai Chau valley/arrive in Mai Chau: an idyllic valley home to many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai

12:15 : Traditional lunch (vegetarian available)

14:00-16:30 : Bicycle ride with your tour guide, see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages.

16:30-18:00 : Free time for cycling, walking, shopping

18:00 : Enjoy the dinner at the homestay. Enjoy the Thai’s ethnic Perfomance and drink the traditional wine “ruou can”. Overnight in communal dorm or private Bungalows at Riverside Bungalows.

Day 2: Local market and climb 1000 steps cave (B,L)

7:30-8:00 : Wake up and have breakfast
8:30-11:30 : Hike to 1000 Step Cave and local market
12:15 – 15:00 : Lunch and free time to relax before getting on the van to Hanoi
18:30-19:00 : Drop you off at your hotel

Hanoi- Mai Chau excursion, 2 days 1night at Mai Chau Eco lodge (code 906b)

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)

Depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau – an idyllic valley home of many hill tribes including the Dzao, Muong and Thai. Arrive in Mai Chau around noon, check in your room and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon: Explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Thia, Nhot, Pom Coong, Lac and Chieng Chau villages on foot. Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Total walking time is around 2.5 – 3 hours on flat village paths. Take it all in: the spectacular scenery of Mai Chau and the relaxed rhythm of local life. Back to Mai Chau Eco-lodge for dinner. Enjoy a traditional dance show and taste Ruou Can, a local rice wine. Overnight at Mai Chau Eco-lodge.

Optional: Cooking class (surcharge)
Take part in a cooking class to make Thai traditional dishes such as five color rice or bamboo grilled fish. Overnight at Mai Chau Eco-lodge

Day 02: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel and then cycle to explore Mai Chau beautiful ethnic villages including Na Tang, Cha Long, Tòng Đậu, Van villages. Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture. Total cycling time is around 2 – 3 hours on flat village paths. Back to Mai Chau Eco lodge for relaxing
Check out around 12.pm
Have lunch and transfer back to Hanoi. End of the tour.
