Day 1: Hanoi – bus/ferry – Cat Ba island – Lan Ha Bay – Halong Bay (Lunch, Dinner)

7.30-7.45am: Bus driver pick you up from the hotel address in Hanoi city center, follow the highway 5B, arrive at Pha Got ferry, and then take a twenty minutes ride in the ferry to get to Cat Ba Island.

11.45: Arrive at Ben Beo Tourist wharf. Cat Ba cruise Cozy Boutique Lan Ha Bay warmly welcomes you! Enjoy the welcome drink, while (y)our tour guide delivers cruise briefing and safety instructions, and, hands over the keys to your cabins.

13.00 : Savor your delicious lunch while enjoying the stunning views of Lan Ha, the secluded & tranquil bay. Marvel at the uniquely shaped limestone towers and islands, including the famous Finger Islet & Candle Islet.

14.30: Do kayaking through the magnificent landscape of limestone mountains, visit Ba Ham lakes (Three lakes), the only way to discover these mystical caves and lagoons is by kayaking (depending on the tide each day)
• Ba Ham Cave is a system of three hidden lagoons connected with each other by caves and then kayak to Ba Men beach, pristine and untouched surrounding, a truly romantic place to be in, for swimming or just lazing around basking in the glory of this location.

16.30: Back to the Cozy Boutique cruise, enjoy the sunset party on the sundeck, with snacks & fruits, while watching a demonstration of cooking class. Wherein, the chef demonstrates how to prepare Spring rolls You could try your hand, too. Then continue to enjoy our Happy Hour deals in all the bars on cruise.
Before the dinner time, our experienced captain chooses the most tranquil area to anchor for the overnight stay.

19.00: Savour delicious local food prepared and served to you by our masterful onboard catering staff BBQ
Enjoy the landscape of the bay in the night time, up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai village/Cat Ba national park – bus back Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)

6.10: Wake up for Sunrise on sundeck
7.00: Have breakfast on board while getting to enjoy the most peaceful areas of Lan Ha bay.
8.00: This ultra-interesting activity – a chance to ride the bicycles through the forest, visiting Viet Hai village (12km), a nondescript idyllic village amidst the jungle, almost concealed by the towering mountain ranges of the Cat Ba National Park. This bicycle riding trip along the lake waters & the village path, going through a dark tunnel witnessing the soothing rice fields and lake is an unparalleled experience.
Optional electric car ride is available with an added fee (please arrange with the Boat Manager)
10.00 : Back to the Cozy Boutique cruise, time for freshen up; relax before getting to settle your bills and check-out the room.
10.45: A well prepared lunch is served while Cozy Boutique cruise gently navigates, through the emerald waters & numerous karst mountains, towards the harbour.
11.45 – 12.00 : Disembark Cozy Boutique cruise

12.30: Transfer back to Hanoi by ferry/bus

Full-day Rock Climbing and Kayaking

Cast off into Lan Ha Bay: the less traveled, less touristy and astoundingly beautiful southern portion of Ha Long Bay. We’ll cruise through a maze of karst towers before collecting kayaks from a floating fish farm and dropping anchor in a tranquil cluster of islands. You’ll kayak into hidden lagoons, explore deserted beaches and search for arches and caves before returning to our traditional junk boat.

Please be aware that this is a top-rope trip, meaning guides will initially climb and set up ropes on all routes. Additionally, itineraries change according to season. During summer months we climb in the afternoon, when Moody Beach is shaded. By winter, we climb through the morning to soak up as much sun as we can.

TWO DAY/ ONE NIGHT ROCK CLIMBING AND KAYAKING WITH JUNK BOAT CAMPING

Summer Itinerary (1 April – 30 November)
Join us for a late start with a relaxing cruise into Lan Ha Bay and a Vietnamese lunch cooked fresh by our crew on our traditional junk boat. After lunch we’ll land on secluded and uninhabited Moody Beach, where the sea borders two shorelines beneath a massive limestone cliff. Our guides will give a brief introduction, set up climbs and outfit you with climbing harnesses, shoes and helmets. Then, we’ll coach you as you climb safely high above Lan Ha Bay’s emerald waters and jungle beaches on beginning and intermediate routes. In the late afternoon, we’ll re-embark the boat to cruise to a floating restaurant as the sun sets over the islands surrounding us.
Feast on a traditional Vietnamese dinner before playing games and conversing through the evening. Lounge on the top deck with karst islands silhouetted in the distance as the sea calms for the night. Don’t forget to stir up the water and watch plankton light up around you!

Notes:

• Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions.
• The accommodation on our overnight boat is rustic. Our boat crew will set up an area for sleeping in the cabin or weather permitting, on the top deck in the fresh air. There are toilets but no showers. You may shower in the evening at the floating restaurant/ fishing village home for an additional charge; bring some small cash if you wish to do this. Although accommodation is basic, it’s a great way to experience the authentic Cat Ba way of life! About three quarters of Cat Ba’s population live in floating villages and many fishermen spend their nights out on junk boats similar to ours. Get a feel for life at sea while enjoying some modest comforts provided by our friendly staff and the natural beauty of the bay!
